Cuscal's product and service delivery is underpinned by a close involvement with scheme and regulatory committees. This enables us to promote and maintain a continued focus on our customers and your specific interests.

Cuscal's Representation on Australian Payments Clearing Association (APCA)

APCA sets, manages and develops regulations, procedures and standards governing payments clearing and settlement within Australia.

Cuscal has membership on the Board and management committees and we are represented by a number of senior Cuscal executives across four clearing streams, including:

• Australian Paper Clearing System (APCS) - co-ordinates, manages and ensures the implementation and operation of policies and procedures for the conduct and settlement of exchanges of paper-based payment instructions, i.e. primarily cheques, between its participating members. It is responsible for preservation of the integrity and efficiency of such exchanges.
• Bulk Electronic Clearing Stream (BECS) - responsible for the operating efficiency of the channel that handles electronic file delivery through Direct Entry, known as the Bulk Electronic Clearing Stream (BECS).
• Consumer Electronic Clearing Stream (CECS) - covering ATM and EFTPOS (EFT) activity overseeing the progress and strategy of APCA managed projects in this stream.
• High Value Clearing Stream (HVCS) - responsible for the efficient exchange of high value transactions, typically used in the process of interbank settlements.

Other Representation

• Visa Executive Committee (VEC) - The top 10 (by volume) Australian members of Visa International form the VEC. Exercised under the authority of the Visa International Asia Pacific Board, the VEC is charged with ensuring items that relate to domestic policy and operational aspects concerning the Visa system domestically are effectively and efficiently managed.
• Visa Operations Committee (VOC) - responsible for the implementation of domestic regulations. Specifically, it provides overall direction, guidelines and administration of operational aspects to Visa members domestically.
• BPAY Management Committee - governing all matters relating to activity processed through the BPAY network.
