Our values
We're a values-driven organisation and our people are the driving force behind it. Our values define the way we work together and the way we work with our business partners. Living our values is all about why our people come to work and 'how we do things' at Cuscal to achieve our business goals and aspirations.

A culture that stands out
Do you go to work in the morning because you have to or do you go because you want to? At Cuscal we pride ourselves on creating an environment where our people actually want to be here – some people who move on even come back!
We've managed to develop a great culture largely by involving our people in the way we run the business. Importantly, we seek their opinions and act on their feedback.
One way we do that is though our staff opinion survey, 'Time Out'. This survey is conducted every two years and the results give us insights to our people's views on what it's like to work at Cuscal, as well as help identify where we can do better.
We also measure employee engagement, the bond or attachment our people have with Cuscal. This considers our people's feeling towards our leaders and communication, commitment to our values and business direction and level of motivation to 'go the extra mile'.
What our people are telling us
94% of our employees took part in our 2007 Time Out survey. Our independent survey provider benchmarked our results alongside some of the best companies in Australia and the top performing financial services companies globally.
We received very positive results. Cuscal scored higher than the benchmarks in 13 of the 15 categories, including communication, work processes and systems, customer experience, leadership and engagement.
We have implemented a number of initiatives in response to our people's feedback. The biggest initiative has been setting up a performance incentive program.

Open plan
To support a collaborative and team based approach, all employees, including our CEO, work within a modern open plan environment. This provides us with great opportunities for interaction, with breakout rooms also available for tasks that require more concentration or are of a confidential nature.
A safe place
The safety of our people is of paramount importance! A range of policies and processes are in place to ensure the health and wellbeing of employees, together with an active Occupational Health & Safety Committee.
Facilities
People are our priority, and we make an effort to ensure that they enjoy their experience at Cuscal. Each level is equipped with a modern kitchen with all employees also having access to harbour views in our 'Cus-café' that provides an opportunity to catch the news on TV, and relax and chat with colleagues over lunch.
We believe that it's essential for our people to have access to modern equipment and technology to do their job. This ensures our people are able to work effectively, within a dynamic environment.
Location
We're conveniently located at 1 Margaret Street within the Sydney CBD. Our offices are easily and quickly accessible from Wynyard Train Station, with other public transport locations close by. Employees have access to a range of eating outlets and other services within close proximity.
